Spring is here, and Engagements have finally started! I love being able to get outside again after a little winter hiding. And I always love the 1:1 time I get with our brides and grooms during their engagement session. Sabrina and Ryan were the sweetest couple. We instantly hit it off and chatted and laughed the whole time. Take a peek at some of their beautiful images!
Kasey & Mike | Mint Springs Farm Engagement
Meet Kasey & Mike. When we were first discussing their October wedding they were living in Louisiana. Currently they live in Texas and they will likely be in Colorado by the time of their wedding. So naturally they decided to have their wedding in Tennessee. Why? Well why not?! This venue is absolutely gorgeous and provides such amazing luxuries for the day of the wedding. I can't wait for October to get here!
Not only have Kasey & Mike moved all over but their families are from different states as well. Most of Kasey's family lives in New Jersey where Mike's family lives mainly in Pennsylvania. One other random fact about Mike's family, is that I'm part of it! Mike's mom and my dad are brother and sister so he's my cousin. My dad worked a lot, being in the military, while I was growing up and Mike's dad isn't a big fan of traveling so we didn't get to see each other much. It was really great to really get to know them as a couple the past few months.
Mike may have scared me a little bit because he kept telling me that they were not very creative at all and could potentially be super awkward in photos. Well clearly, he lied!!
Kasey is absolutely gorgeous and had the perfect expressions the entire shoot. & Mike was very cooperative, even helping pose Kasey for a shot.
The 6.5 hour drive was well worth it to be able to visit this venue before the wedding. There are so many unique spots on the property that we were able to use for the engagement photos. I am super excited to see how the venue looks when it is green and sunny!
You would never guess that it was actually freezing temperatures the day of the shoot. Kasey & Mike braved the cold like champs.
The vintage truck on the property was the perfect pairing to the couple's camo outfit. They really came to life in these shots. Mike is actually a dairy nutritionist and seemed very in his element with a hat, camo and boots.
Kasey even braved bare feet to get the shot below and it turned out to be one of my favorites!
Knowing that Kasey is a personal trainer and in excellent shape I thought I would challenge her with a photo I have been dying to try. After only a few tries, she got it right on the money! How adorable are they?!
Thank you both for letting me be part of your big day and I cannot wait 7 months and 5 days until your wedding.

All of the small details:
Kynlee & Mark | Backyard Wedding
Kynlee & Mark had an intimate wedding at a family friend's estate. They had been dating for YEARS and everyone was excited that they were finally tying the knot.
Mark's sweet bride got him a gift that put a giant smile on his face.
Just like I'm sure this rock put a giant smile on hers ;)
Mark's grandmother had the pleasure of putting his boutonniere on.
Ahh father & daughter first look, my fav!
The weather was perfect and the sun blessed this wedding.
Meet the absolutely adorable ring bearer! I could just eat him up.
His parents were the best man and maid of honor.
The first moment I saw this ivy covered shed I was in love and knew I would be using it for their first pics together as husband & wife.
Their first dance was choreographed and beautiful.
The sun began to set on the father & daughter dance.
Kynlee made such a beautiful bride!
Have a wonderful honeymoon you two!!

Courtney's Lake Norman Bridal Session
I absolutely LOVE bridal sessions! There is no better way to showcase the beauty of a bride than one on one time with the photographer. Bridal sessions are a great way for the bride to have a test run on hair & makeup as well as see how the dress photographs.
The hard part about bridal sessions is that often times I can't post the images for monnnnths. I get so excited with the results and want to post right away, but I know I can't. So I first want to give a huge congratulations to Courtney & Justin!!
Courtney, like many other single ladies, treats her dog like her baby. So for her bridal session we invited her fur baby Corx along for a little fun in the summer sun.
Corx sure loves his mama!
Courtney is such a beautiful bride and such an amazing person! She used to work with me at Bella Baby Photography taking pictures of the wee little babies in Charlotte.
It was great to see her again, and since she is a photographer as well, she let me test the waters.....literally!
We may or may not have gotten the dress a little wet in the water. But the photos were sooooo worth it.
Thanks for a great bridal session and I wish you the VERY best as the new Mr & Mrs. Younce
