Anna & Patrick Say I Do | Barn at Blueberry Hill | Elkin Wedding

We met Anna over a year ago and have had a blast getting to know her and Patrick better. I travelled to their Taylorsville home to photograph their engagement session which included fields and horses and fences galore. Then, I went back to photograph Anna's bridal portraits with her horse and explore the paths and woods around their home. Just like in the two sessions leading up to the big day, the wedding location and weather were absolutely perfect! Shannon, our associate shooter for the wedding, even swore she was moving to Taylorsville on the drive home because ALL of the guests danced the night away, just her style. Enjoy & relive the day through our photos below.

Congrats Anna & Patrick Harris! (Now time to get started on some babies for me to photograph!!)

Kelsey & Evan Say I Do | Peninsula Yacht Club Wedding

I (Amanda) have known Evan since high school & met Kelsey several years ago. When the couple became engaged in January I was so excited for them! & even more excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Almost all of the vendors were friends of the couple so it was such a smooth and laid back day.

Tad started photographing the boys getting ready at Evan's brother's house.

Kelsey's wedding dress was perfect, in fit and style.

The touches of purple and teal popped out all day long.

I love all of the personal details from the monogram, burlap, wood and mason jars.

Everyone was excited that we had such a bright sunny wedding day. The first few weekends in the month had rainy Saturdays.

The bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning!

& the boys were pretty handsome too!

Kelsey & Evan choose to wait until she was walking down the aisle to see each other on their wedding day. However, we did get to capture a first look with Kelsey & her dad.

The ceremony consisted of an acknowledgment of family members that are no longer with us, a sand ceremony, prayer, vows and of course the first kiss as husband and wife.

The two families really became one not only by marriage but on the dance floor later in the night!

Tad & I stole the couple away for a few minutes of photos with just the two of them.

The sun was warm and soft by the time couples pictures began.

I love the photos with the boats on the dock as it shows Lake Norman at its finest.

Just as the sun passes over the horizon, it's time to go join the party.

The couple's first dance was both simple and sweet.

Kelsey & her dad surprised us all with an awesome dance that they have been practicing for months.

The cake was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious! I tried both the red velvet and vanilla mmmm.

Kelsey's sister, Kailyn, was the Maid of Honor and gave a sweet tribute to her big sis. Evan's brother, Ashton, was the Best Man but his toast picked on his little bro just a tad. Then Kelsey's dad finished it off, cracking everyone up.

Now take a minute to check out all of the awesome photos below. The open bar really got a few of the dancing guests!

Congratulations Kelsey & Evan!!

Faith & Edgar Say I Do | Ballantyne Hotel | Charlotte NC

I met Edgar just a few short months before his wedding to Faith and fell in love with the couple immediately. Faith had the same vision for her wedding as I did. She said yes to a First Look with Edgar and her dad. Plus she wanted to do a reception reveal. & the wedding was going to be held at the gorgeous Ballantyne Hotel. Unfortunately, it rained the day of the wedding so we weren't able to do the family formals or First Look photos outside but the couple remained in high spirits and rocked the day anyways!

Edgar, alongside his best man, got ready downstairs. He looked so dapper.

While Faith kept me busy with her amazing details upstairs.

She transformed into a princess before my eyes once the gown went on.

Faith loved her jewelry from Edgar. & Edgar got an awesome Apple watch from Faith.

I absolutely love First Looks because they allow a moment of real, raw emotion between just the two people before the hectic ceremony begins.

Plus, we would not have been able to get this amazing moment otherwise!

Faith & Edgar exchanged heartfelt, handwritten vows. They also had a rope tying section of the ceremony. But the best part was that the officiant was Faith's brother in law, married to her sister (the maid of honor).

These pictures were during the private reveal of the ceremony space and then the reception hall.

I knew Faith had great taste, because she chose us to photograph her wedding, but man look at that cake! ;)

I absolutely loved the first dance photos, you guys rocked it!

Edgar's mom really let loose during the mother and son dance.

Toasts were given by Faith's dad, the Maid of Honor and Best Man. All 3 kept everyone laughing and on the verge of tears.

It was almost a crime to cut such a beautiful wedding cake.

I LOVE Faith's expressions during the bouquet toss, she was having a blast.

& Edgar totally rocked the garter toss too.

We had a lot of family formals at this wedding so we took some time during the reception to sneak away for a few intimate moments with the newlyweds. It was way worth it!

Now this crew could dance, especially the officiant. I hope everyone had a blast and I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for you Faith & Edgar Gomez!!

Tom & Jen Say I Do | Washington, PA

We were lucky enough to be asked by Tom and Jen to photograph their wedding - this was an event that was very special for us to be a part of and we were so lucky and honored!

There were so many fabulous details at this event - even the rehearsal dinner groom's cake was fabulous.

The day started off with a lot of laughs and energy. Getting ready with Jen was so much fun, you couldn't have a more relaxed, happy bride!

I loved her hairpiece - and her hair - and take a look at that Steelers garter! (There was a Cleveland one as well...but that was the toss garter!)

The boys always have fun getting ready.

We had to run outside when we arrived at the venue to grab a photo of all the bridesmaids in their awesome t-shirts! We literally ran for these photos - but so worth it!

Here is Tom - looking like a model!

I love when the bride and groom exchange letters and gifts.

These are two of my favorites from the entire day - and both are candid moments.

Almost time - but before everything got started the bridal party got to have their first peek at Jen!

This ceremony was filled with so many laughs, stories and tears it was wonderful!

It was time for all the celebrating to begin! They did it!

This group was absolutely awesome to photograph!

And I have to say, Jen's dress is probably my most favorite ever - absolutely stunning.

The reception was filled with handmade details. I love their custom jerseys that took the place of a guest book.

And these centerpieces? Handmade by the GROOM!

From sunrise until the reception was over, Tad and I had a blast being a part of this day. Tom and Jen are awesome friends - and being able to see and catch up with so many friends that we don't often see or keep in touch with was incredible. Tom and Jen - congratulations - and we can't wait until we get to see you both again!

Catherine & Joshua Say I Do | Rocky River Vineyards | August 15, 2015

Janel & I met Catherine at our bridal fair last August. Catherine came into the studio with Joshua to meet both of us since he wasn't at the show.  We all knew instantly that it was a good fit.

Both Catherine & Joshua were calm and put together the day of their wedding. It was nice to see the certainty that they had about their marriage. The bridal loft was the perfect place for Catherine to get ready with her 3 bridesmaids and her mother.

Joshua arrived at the vineyard shortly after we did. He had a great group of guys that kept me laughing and supported him through the day. Naturally the boys were ready far before the girls so they had time to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather before the ceremony began.

How many bridesmaids does it take to get a bride in her dress? In this case, all 3!!

Catherine had such a sweet bond with her mother. & Catherine is very much a spitting image of her too.

Even though Catherine and Joshua didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, we were still able to get a few First Looks in! Catherine's dad was so sweet, giving her one last kiss before she was to become Joshua's wife. Catherine's brother had the widest eyes and teared up a little bit seeing his big sister all dolled up.

The beautiful barn became the set for the ceremony. The vineyard didn't fall short on awesome details from the wine barrels to the corks and even wine bottles for us to use.

Beautiful bridesmaids cheering Catherine on.

Handsome groomsmen to keep Joshua in line.

Butterflies could be seen everywhere on the sunny day, absolutely beautiful. & How gorgeous are their rings?!

After dating for 6 years Joshua & Catherine became husband and wife in front of all of their closest family and friends.

It's not often that we have such an exquisite train and veil so we had to show it off a little.

When the twinkle lights came on in the vineyards at sunset we knew we had to sneak the couple away for a few golden hour photos.

The cake was just as delicious as it looked. I was wondering who would be the one to smear cake but both Joshua & Catherine fed each other nicely. Catherine's sister serenaded the newlyweds during their first dance.

Thank you for letting Head Over Heels be part of your big day. You are an amazing couple and we can't wait to share the rest of the photos with you. Leave Mr. & Mrs. Morrison some love!!
